 The presentation of advanced fourth-generation game consoles from Sony was, to put it mildly, strange and unusual - constant problems with sound, failures in video broadcast. In general, the impression was created that no one was preparing for this. And they did not choose the date very well - the demonstration of the modernized version was carried out on the same day with the presentation of Apple. But I still have to talk about it and leave a short review so that you know what to expect from the Sony Playstation 4 slim, which has been upgraded.
Everything is very simple - the changes affected both the dimensions of the set-top box (it has become more compact and lighter), and the technical process (the manufacturer managed to reduce the energy consumption and power of the power supply). But judging by the reviews, the performance of the Slim version is no different from the usual PS4.
The new console is already on sale in some markets. It will be possible to estimate its upgrade by paying about $ 300 or € 300. Most likely, it will not produce a furor in Russia. Advanced players probably won't change the old Playstation 4 for a new console. Therefore, it is expected that the purchase of this compact version will be predominantly newcomers.
The changes in the Playstation 4 Pro are much more pleasing. It is aimed at users who own 4K monitors and TVs. The manufacturers claim that the video on these devices will look much more spectacular and real, although it was not possible to notice this at the pre PlayStation 4 sentation. With HDR support in games, the new PS4 Pro should deliver better effects and lighting. During the stream, it was also noted that the Slim version of the game console guarantees PS VR owners an unrealistic experience (the helmet can be used with any "four").
Reviews indicate that the Sony Playstation 4 Slim differs from the good old PS4 not only visually. Its technical component has also undergone significant changes. It has an improved graphics system and a different processor, as well as a new hard drive that can hold up to 1TB of data.
The manufacturer is positioning the PS4 Pro not as a new device, but just as a development of the existing line. For example, in the case of Apple products, this is not a new iPhone, but just a version S. A new, compact modification of the game console went on sale in the fall of 2016, its price reaches $ 400 (or € 400), the price in Russia may differ slightly.
The official video provides all the information about the Sony Playstation 4 slim. Judging by the reviews, nothing new could be seen there.
Some games were presented on the stream, for example, Mass Effect: Andromeda (to watch videos in the best quality, you need to change the player's settings). Feedback from fans of the series indicates that they are eagerly awaiting the release of the game.
By the way, YouTube and Netflix also promised to develop new content for the Playstation 4 Pro. Apparently, it will cost a lot. And I, in turn, promise to add official prices to the TX material.
