The composition of the diapers depends on the design used, as well as on the thickness of the absorbent layer and the amount of SAP (superabsorbent) used.
1. Top-sheet. Due to the fact that this layer is adjacent to the child's skin, it is made of a soft material that perfectly permeates liquid in only one direction. Naturally, such material should not irritate the baby's skin during natural friction.
Typically, two types of materials are used as this layer:
1. Thermobond is a nonwoven fabric made from polypropylene or a mixture of polypropylene and polyester staple fibers. The density of this material varies from the type of gasket from 17 to 22 g / m2.
2. Spunbond polypropylene nonwoven fabric. As a rule, to improve performance, the material is made two-layer. Due to the higher strength characteristics, the density of the material can be lower than the density of the "Termobond" material and varies from 10 to 20 g / m2.

3. Distribution layer. Unlike pads, it is recommended that the distribution layer be included in all types of diapers. For the manufacture of this layer, materials of the "thermobond" type are used from a mixture of polypropylene and polyester fibers with a density of 15 to 30 g / m2.
4. Inner layer - the absorbent material is the most important part of the diaper. It contains a special absorbent that turns into a gel when it "meets" moisture. Quality absorbents are capable of absorbing 50 times their own weight of liquid. That is why diapers "swell". Once completely filled, such a diaper acts as an impermeable barrier. In this case, we can talk about an increase in temperature inside it, and about the "effect of a compress". Depending on the type of diaper, as well as on the technology used in the production, the following types of absorbent materials are used:
1. Bleached fluff pulp with SAP added.
2. Nonwoven fabric "Ayrleid". During the manufacture of this material, SAP can be added to it. In addition, for better absorption and distribution of liquid, "Airlade" is often used in conjunction with fluff pulp.
5. Outer layer (Back sheet). As with feminine sanitary towels, the purpose of this layer is to prevent moisture from the absorbent salt from leaking out. For these purposes, textured polyethylene film or non-woven material laminated with porous polyethylene film is most often used. Can also be used composite - "spunbond-meltblown-spunbond", laminated with a film.
